The Site:
Located in Lake Wales Florida, the Bok Tower Gardens has become one of the most beautiful destinations in Florida. With a lush landscape and famous bell tower, the Bok Gardens is an ideal place for visiting and is currently lacking the infrastructure needed to host big events.
The Project:
The project proposes an enclosed reception hall for approximately 300 people and an open air amphitheater. The transparent nature of the building, alongside the use of wood as the main structural material, allows the building to blend with the surrounding landscape. Raising the existing topography of the site gave way to create an open air amphitheater, allowing visitors to face the stage, as well as the Bok tower. The design seamlessly allows the Architecture and Nature to exist as one.
